Okay, this will be my last topic for a while because I know I've made a few so far.

Anyway, I was out today and happened upon this little rack of satin caps and such. I bought a black satin cap, and a du rag. It looks perfect to wear under my hijab, but my mom gave me an awkward look and said it was a stupid idea. It was only a dollar, so I got it.  

It's just this- I don't see what the big deal is. Some tie in the back, but this one in the pic is just like a little skull cap.

Is it really that big of a deal, using a du rag instead of the standard cap? My mom kept making jokes about me becoming a gangster or something. I don't see anything wrong with it at all.
