What do you count as health books?

I know i'm being quite vague here but just books concerning public health..This could be from obesity to newly emerging diseases. I just need to do a book report and i'm wondering of any of you guys have read some.

Oh, nvm.  I read your response to MMM.  I'm reading different textbooks and supplements to the courses.  Probably not what you're going for.

You could try looking at journal articles, such as the American Journal of Public Health which will certainly have a lot of literature. Newly emerging diseases, discussions and writeups can likely be found in medical journals such as NEJM, however this focuses heavily on the medicine and science and thus is probably not of that much use, but you could find useful things in some of the editorials.

I'm sure there are books on public health (run a search for it at your local/school library system), however due to the nature of public health books can become quickly outdated, and that's why journals are a far better source.

As well as that, the Internet in general is a good host to a lot of information, as long as you don't get information of disputed/unreliably websites. Look at public-oriented websites, such as the online counterparts for NewScientist, Scientific American, etc, as well as government run public aimed websites like the National Institute for Health, the NHS, Patient.co.uk.

NewScientist in particular is very good as it always has updates to big issues, such as Swine Flu and is well regarded by the scientific community.
