When I apply to jobs and don't get answers (I've been waiting 2 months to hear from Express even though I know I didn't get it.) I kind of feel like when they read my application and see where I am from (Camden, NJ) and my name (Sequoia) and my GED. I feel like they write me off. And I am not applying to some fast food store I am applying to Express and Nordstroms. (I even have a list of jobs!) I've even got mail from Nordstroms saying I didnt get as a barista! And I know I am being a tad big headed but I am a perfectionist! My current boss waits until I come in at noon to make muffins because my co-workers look crappy and the same with the creme cakes! I am so tired of saying "Hey we are in a recession. No one is hiring!" or "Maybe they aren't looking for anyone." I've applied to over 70 jobs this year and I am sick of redoing the applications over and over again every couple of months.
