How can we stop our room from smelling?

I'm a college student living in a dorm in a double. My roommate and I both try to keep things pretty clean, but somehow our room ALWAYS has a funky smell to it. We've bought a spray, use it, open the windows in the morning and all that jazz, and nothing helps more than temporarily. What can we do to make our room stop smelling? Don't suggest candles or incense because we aren't allowed to have those in our room and will be severely fined if we do.

You need to get special air spray, get stuff that actually eats the smell rather than covers it.

Just keep cleaning and such. And bathe regularly.

Straight vinegar in a spray bottle.

Or buy some natural odor remover with essential oils in it.

There are little canisters you can probably find at Target or the grocery store (I know for sure Bed, Bath and Beyond carries it because I work there).

It's like this spongy scented stuff and it works really well. We use it in the public restrooms and you can tell it smells really nice.

By canisters you mean like sprays? Because we have a spray that smells really nice, but only for a little while, and then the scent fades.

We don't smell...it's our room that does. There's no wet spots. The only time there's even water on the floor at all or anything is right after we shower, which by the way is daily.

I had this problem, put your shoes and clothes in one of those big containers with a lid.

You might have a water leak somewhere, that's a simple way to have a lingering funk.
