What's the difference between CD-Rom and DVD-Rom discs?
I bought a Sims 2 expansion pack off ebay, and when it arrived I see it's DVD-Rom, whereas my others are CD-Rom. What's the difference? My computer reads DVDs so I don't understand why it's not working?

cds carry less information than dvd. The only difference is how much more the data is squished together on the disk.

So why won't the DVD work?
maybe your computer doesn't read dvds like you thought
I can play DVDs on it, that's all fine. I've checked that out, but it won't read this one.

The person you bought it from could have ripped you off and sold you a non-working dvd. Try to see if it works on another computer.

Mmm that's what I'm starting to think. I don't have any other computers to try it out on, none here and I won't be at anyone else's house for almost a week. Anything else I could try that you can think of?
