I'd recommend you take a friend or two with you, and don't be alone with him under any circumstances. If he says the money is in his car or something like that, tell him to bring it to you. And make it somewhere very public, maybe tell him you're having lunch with some friends at 'insert place here' at 'insert time here', and he should meet you then. That was you're sitting down and comfortable, and he has to come to you. Keep it public.
