Whats a better idea going straight to work after high school, or going to college and having a ten plus year debt to pay off, but having a wider selection of jobs????

havent u played the game of life?

Start college, you will win in the long term....

Having said that not everyone is suited to college, and if you are good with your hands, or are arty or musical, then maybe you can start straight into work.

Follow your passion

Go to college, you won't make it if you don't have a degree under your belt. I've tried, but didn't have any success. If you got into a trade you might be able to make it, even then you would still have to go to trade school.

You have debt, but afterwards you (generally or hopefully) have a means to pay it off.

The typical answer is to earn a college degree and have better opportunities in the future. Not to mention, it's a low risk that allows you to learn more, gain experience, and connect with other people. However, do not let what other people think influence your decision. There have been lots of cases where drop-outs and non-degree earners have made it big in their respective industries because they believe in what they want and weer prepare to fight for it. Just remember: not because it's safe doesn't mean it's right for you.

Go to technical school. Employers are going with that anyway. You get the skills you need without all the boring bullshit courses that cost extra money. I'm going to apply to allied health school cuz being a biology major here is boring, difficult and expensive.

I say hold off work as long as you can until you finish college. Work will always be there but sometimes college will not...or the other way around...i don't know
