I'm a freshman at a school that I absolutely adore! Really, although it wasn't among my top picks at the beginning, it turned out to be perfect for me. The thing is, I'm a nursing major, and I'm not doing well in anatomy&physiology. If I don't pass (get a C because for the nursing program, a C is the lowest passing grade), I don't know how motivated I'll be to retake the course. A lot of it depends on if I can get a different professor...but even if I do retake it, that will put me behind and I'll have to find a way to take A&P II over the summer which would put a damper on my plans of being a camp counselor, though I guess that would work fine with being a CNA. So you know, towards the end of the semester, I'm going to have to figure out what to do. If I retake it and pass, great, I'll be on my way to being a nurse. If I decide not to, there's a problem. I've said for awhile now that if for some reason nursing doesn't work out, I want to be a preschool teacher. That's all fine and great, but my school doesn't have early childhood education. They start with childhood education (grades 1-6 I believe), so I would have to transfer, and that's something that I would like to do even less than retake A&P. Needless to say, I'm a little lost right now. Opinions?

Honestly, does no one have anything at all to say?

To me, it sounds like you answered your own question - you want to be where you are more than transfer. So if you still have the desire to be a nurse, retake the course, make sure you do better. Put your whole mind and heart into it and really focus on your work, get help when you need to, etc. and make it happen. My only concern is whether or not you truly you still want to be a nurse. You're clearly doubting that. If this isn't the path for you, there's no shame in transferring to work towards a new goal. If you want to teach preschool, better to start on that path now than to spend more time, energy and money on a nursing degree that you won't want to use.

I honestly don't know if I want to be a nurse or not. I used to be absolutely sure, and now I'm not. I really don't want to transfer because I love my school, but being a preschool teacher isn't possible unless I do.

Maybe you can do some volunteering or get a part-time job at a preschool for a bit and either put the nursing classes on hold, or still continue a few at a slower pace. This way see what works, what feels right, and what you're leaning towards with some hands-on experience in both and take it from there.
