Go into your sound settings (It should be the little speaker in the task bar, click the (<) button by the clock if you don't see it), look for Mic(If not there, look in the top left corner, and click options, make sure playback is selected, and check 'Microphone', click settings(or options or whatever button in the microphone column), and make sure it's not set on AGC. Make sure it's on 20Db boost ONLY. Not both, or none. Rough instructions. Will revise if you don't understand.
