Alright.
I have a windows vista computer and I use windows Movie maker and windows player.

Well these both worked until I got a new camera. I got a kodak 10.2MP HD digital camera. It came with a progra called easyshare that I had to download to upload all of my pics and vids but I can not view my videos I take on my windows Movie maker or the media player.

I searched on the internet for a solution and found quicktime player. It allows me to watch my videos but I still need a program to help me make the movies. I use this a lot for school as well personal use.
Does anyone know what I can do to to make a movie using this new camera?

If I want to watch a movie I made with the camera It must be opened on quicktime otherwise it will not play!

Go into "My Computer" and go to where your files are located.  Right click the file and go to "Open With" and select the program you want to open with.

Movie Maker can be found by going to your C drive, going to Program files, the folder Movie Maker, then execute the file named MOVIEMK.

To get media player set back as your default, right click the movie you want, select Open With, then go to Choose Default, Media Player should be an option that you can choose.

Oh, it will only play with Quicktime. In that case, you are missing the codec to play it. Look for the file type that it is and google the movie maker codec for it. I know that "google it" replies are not allowed, but it is the easiest way.

I know where to find em
and I am okay using quicktime as my defauklt but the problem is that I can not open a movie on movie maker. I need to know what progrram to get.

the problem is simple, and is an easy fix. the file format is not one that microsoft movie maker can open. you need to convert it to a .wmv file.

you have to start by downloading a converter here

and using it to convert it to the .wmv format.
