I.

As I type this, it's 7:21 PM.  About half an hour ago, I learned something that happened about something a long time ago.  Let's start from the beginning.
I'm not going to bother making these names anonymous because fuck it, you don't know these people.

This all started about three years ago.  I was 12 years old.  My mom had this friend Charissa.  She's awesome.  We love her, and she loves us.  We would visit them regularly.  Charissa is married to Jim, and Jim seemed like a nice guy to me.  Jim had a daughter with his previous wife.  His daughter's name is Miranda, and she kind of lived there at the time.  She was a freshman in high school while I was in 6th grade; I was 12 and she was 15.  I wouldn't say I was in love with her, but I will say that if it had been weeks since I saw her, it would eat at my brain like a termite.
Miranda has charm, she knows she has charm, she's amazingly beautiful.  And she uses it to her advantage.
Now I know what you're thinking: most girls would do that.

Now this is mostly about Miranda.  And Jim a little bit.

Well Miranda was on restriction from her phone.  She wasn't the best kid in the world, and you'll find out why.  I had no idea that she was on restriction from her phone; I simply assumed she didn't have a phone.  She asked to use my phone.  I let her.  She had asked her stepmother, Charissa, if she and I could go to the park together.  I wanted to go more than anything.
It was just me and her in her room.  I was teaching her how to play Clue, and she was talking about parents.  I was too mesmerized by the fact that I was in her room and the fact that she was talking to me to even pay attention to what she was saying.  She was saying something was bullshit, that's all I can remember now.
Then she asked to use my phone.  I didn't know what for, but what was I going to do, ask?
I still remember putting my phone in my pocket before going over there, and how I wish I didn't, or simply forgot to bring my phone, as to avoid a shitload of drama.

I pull the phone outta my pocket; I don't even remember her talking on it.  But she was.  She was talking to some guy.  I can't remember his name, but I could remember her telling me afterward that it was going to be SOMETHING in SOMEONE'S car.  I got a little nervous when she told me that.  A car?  What for?  Charissa had also told Miranda she couldn't go to the park.  Why?  Because she and my mom weren't fucking born yesterday.  Up until that point, I had never experienced so much disappointment when Charissa said no.  I assumed they were both being overly "parental," and, well, it sucked.

Anyway, while I'm upstairs in her room, I get called down.  Damn.  I came downstairs.  My mom and Charissa were both giving me the suspicious look.  "Let me see your phone," my mom says.  I figure Miranda wasn't supposed to be using a phone, so when they see the called number, my mom asked me if Miranda used my phone.  "No..."  Liar.  They asked me who it was I was calling, even though they already knew the truth.  So when I tried covering for Miranda, I failed miserably.  I get caught in a lie, and at the time, getting caught in a lie, SUCKED, and I had to spit out the truth: that I let Miranda use my phone and that I had no idea who it was.
Either Charissa or my mother called the guy asking who he was.  He was no doubt older, as he had his own car and whatnot.  They might have gotten his name, I can't remember.
Anyway, later that night, Miranda called Charissa asking for a ride home.

I can't remember how Jim got in the mix, but she and Charissa go up there (either that or Jim was already upstairs), and they get into a physical fight with Miranda that Miranda had engaged.

I learned what had happened after that night and today.  Miranda pulls a pipe (non-metal) from under her bed and starts trying to hit Jim (her real father by the way) with it.  She was standing on the bed and trying to kick him in the face, breaking his glasses.  My mom and I assumed all the bangs on the wall were from people but they were from shoes being thrown.  Anyway, after all the violence blew over, Miranda just walked out the door.  We didn't see her for a while.
Charissa hid all the knives in the computer room and locked the door.
Charissa, my mom and I all sat down and had a long talk.  That night, I learned that Miranda, was, IS actually, a compulsive liar.  She steals.  She stole a digital camera and deleted all the pictures, some with a dead relative in it.  Wow.  Once, Miranda and Jim were on the second floor with Charissa coming up the stairs.  Miranda throws her face on the floor, giving herself a bloody nose, and tells her Jim did it.  Charissa came up too soon and saw it.  Once she even stole $200 straight outta Jim's wallet.  More stuff too, I can't remember at the moment.
After that night, it had come to my attention that Miranda was going to boarding school in some more central state far from here, and the incident is what pushed it over the edge.  When she was there, she slipped up a couple times, like pushing somebody down the stairs and getting caught shoplifting from Macy's, blah blah blah.
They also told me that Miranda had tried to blame what happened on me, even after I tried covering for her.

II.

Over the three years, I heard she's been doing better.  She's 18 and I'm 15.  She and Charissa would write back and forth, blah blah fucking blah.

During those three years...
These are most likely not in specific order.  Here we learn that Jim is loco en el cabeza.

Months ago, maybe last year, I learned that Charissa and Jim had gone to different marriage counselors for a while.  The marriage didn't work out.  They had to live with each other for a while until they could get the divorce finalized, they could get their house sold, and they could find different places to stay.  Jim basically lost the will to live.  He didn't die, but he stopped taking care of himself.  Charissa made a salad and one of Jim's teeth came out since he hadn't been brushing.  He had gotten fired from his yob and Charissa was a retired cop.  She retired because she became unable to fire a gun; she's a college professor now.  Jim used to be on Special Weapons and Tactics, aka SWAT.  Then he worked under the Chief of Police.

But I digress.  Once she basically told him that she was tired of supporting him because he would basically sit on his fat ass all day.  He choked her from behind.  She should have called the cops, she even admitted, but she didn't.

Another time Charissa hadn't realized that Jim had been fired from his job for about a month.  He would wake up at about 7, I believe it was 7, and put his uniform on and "get ready" every single day.  What was he doing all day?  Well, I'll tell you later in the story what we think he was doing.

Sometimes, he would even try to scare Charissa by racking his guns in front of her.  And when I say gun, I don't mean bicep.  I don't mean penis.  I mean firearm. :chk-chk:  It didn't scare her because she's had many shocking things happen when she was on the Police Force.

And he started stealing from her.  Charissa had been wondering why they didn't have money since together they together made a lot of it.  She had also been wondering what had happened to her jewelry.  He forged checks and signed her name.  He did it constantly.  In the end, he most likely made off with just about under $30K.  And he also requested alimony, which he then GOT.  They had to pay to sell the house.  Charissa also had a lot of retirement money saved up.  I don't know if she wanted to retire to, or if she wanted to just take a vacation, to Europe.
And for Europeans and/or Australians reading this, going to Europe is a nice vacation.
After all the bills were finally paid and after she learned he had stole from him and everything, it had eaten into half of her retirement fund.
But for some reason Jim's retirement fund was ALL gone.
We think he was doing a couple of hard drugs with his money and during the day while he was "going to work."  Does that answer the question from before?

Sometimes he would break down and cry like a bitch to her talking about marriage counselors, and that would be when Charissa realized he was fucking crazy.  He might have even been stalking her a little bit.  She has a restraining order against him now.

They're divorced now, I don't see Jim, I don't see Miranda, and I still see Charissa.

Why is Miranda so fucked up?  3 reasons:

1.her disorder
2.Jim, her real father
3.her real mother

And Charissa couldn't ever have kids; she raised Miranda as if she was her own.

III.

Now to today.

As of yesterday, Charissa was living in the house she moved to after the house where she lived with Jim and Miranda.  She planned on moving weeks ago.  She got the house sold, and today we were helping Charissa move her shit.
I'm tired, I'm cold, I wanna go on LiveWire, and I'm still at her new place.

I was talking with my mom about a conversation I had when I visited my dad the weekend before.  I was relating good parenting with the Bill of Rights, except for the Right to Bear Arms, more blah blah.

ANYWAY, I was filling Charissa in on what my mom and I had said about it.  Charissa looked like she wanted to talk, and I asked her if she wanted to get in on what my mom and I were talking about.

Charissa brings up Miranda, and she starts making correlations to what we were talking about, even though I knew she had done what is known on LiveWire as "derailing a topic."

One thing led to another, and she starts telling me things about Jim and Miranda.

Jim's part of the story is done.  I've already said everything I can remember from what I have learned today and what I have learned months ago.

Back to the incident in the first part.

But I learned that that night, the night of the incident, that when Miranda walked out the door, the dude she had used my phone to call was there waiting for her in his car outside.

This is a 21-year-old guy, and they drove around a little, parked the car and had SEXXX.  Oh my God.  Then they drove around some more, and fucked again.  That bitch!  And I also learned that the only reason I was in the equation was so she could call the guy and so she could get out of the house.  I didn't fully know that; it's complicated.
Keep in mind that she was 15 and he was 21.  Fucking disgusting.

And I also learned that she would get high and drunk and fuck a bunch of different guys in their 20's on a REGULAR FUCKING BASIS.  That fucking slut!  I think she was still with her boyfriend Jason at the time, also.  He seemed like a cool guy.  They pretended to be just friends, but they told me they had been going out since December (I think it was about 7 months before).  Jason was the tall 17-year-old Junior guy on the basketball team.  Charissa and my mom had known about Miranda and Jason.  EVERYONE knew that Jason's mother knew about their "relationship."  Jason's mother would even get them rooms to have sex.  When Charissa and my mom were telling me this, my mom said about Jason's mom, "She was a fucking idiot.  I wanted to punch her."  Charissa and my mom even knew about the MySpace that Miranda wasn't allowed to have.
Jason and Miranda's sex was illegal, just so you remember.  Don't believe me; believe Charissa, the ex-cop that told me.

But the thing that really stuck with me was that if Miranda and I had gotten to go to the park, we would have gotten in the car, they would have dropped me off at the park, driven away, and had sex together.

I would be this 12-year-old boy who was crazy about this 15-year-old girl.  I would have been at the park alone, long enough after dark, just sitting there and crying because the girl of my dreams abandoned me to go have sex with some guy she barely knows.  To have this guy she barely knows commit statutory rape.  And I would have just been lying down on the playground sad, betrayed, and alone.  Miranda most likely would have just told me that she'll "be back."
That kid would have been ME.

I don't care about her past, her parents, or her disorder.  She's dead inside.  She's a vulture.  She's a slut.  She has no conscience whatsoever.  I got over her immediately the night of the incident.  When someone does something like that to you, it's easy to resent them.

I don't believe in karma, but I do know that she will get what's coming to her, and I hope it hits her HARD, harder than what she did hit me.

What I've learned from this:
The world is a cold, ugly place.  Even as a kid, you know that.  You may even know about most of what makes it ugly.  But what makes it as ugly as it is is that you don't realize how close the ugliness is to you.

It's 9:30 now, and I'm finished with the story.

Sincerely,
Kane Tillotson

You know all i can say is you have a really Innocent view on things.

My best friend lost her virginity at 15 to a 21 year old too, do i resent her for it, or call her a slut...think she is filthy for it...the answer is no i don't. She is m,y best friend and although her views about sex and boys does not necessarily match my own it doesn't make it wrong. We were brought up by our parents morals, but the world of us as teens isn't the same as theirs, these days girls and guys have sex at any age they feel like, without being labelled sluts. It is a cold and ugly world as you might say but it is the world we live in so we might as well make the most out of it.

The story is sad, the family is fucked up. The one thing i think happened to Miranda is that she got so fucked up because of her family falling apart, inside she might have been more depressed then anyone could have guessed and people use that sadness in different as, some cry and seek help or don't, some harm themselves and some harm others. Yes Miranda hurt others by her actions, thats how she made her self feel better and with the poor relationship with her family i am not surprised that she seeked older men for sex to make her feel loved.

Do not hate her for her actions, she was manipulative but she didn't hurt you directly. There is probably a lot more other people who she hurt.

I'm glad you got that off your chest, it often helps getting things off your mind. Another thing i would say is, don't get too involved in other peoples lives or minds...its not your own so don't bother.

You see you have a different view though on things, there are people worse and there are people better. You seem to label too much.

Dont get caught up like that on thinking about other people, have more of a "yeah she does that, oh well who cares not my problem and nothing to do with me"
