I hated the first week because of the partying scene and being kept awake all the time. Prior to starting Uni, I was scared because I thought I had the greatest friends ever and didn't want to leave them behind...oh,don't  .

Last year I was a freshman in college and I really didn't like it. Hopefully this year will be better. I don't party, and it's hard to find a group of friend's who don't want to go out and get drunk.

I never did any of those things, either. School is school to me, it's nothing to get excited about. Although there were other fun things to do on campus. I never hated college, though. I'm sure he'll grow to like college and meet some people, however, I wouldn't expect him to get involved in frats or parties or anything.

Most people seem to find it to be a lot of fun. I've had some friends transfer because they weren't happy with the location, but other than that, no.
