If you restart your router your IP will normally be re-issued (and hence you will get a different one).
Without doing something like that, there's nothing you can do or press to just get a new IP. The modem has to actively lose or renew a connection for a new IP address to be given.
Other than using proxies, you'll have to resort to restarting your router/modem manually.

Stop being so scared and just do your time in jail, changing your IP won't do anything about it.
If you really need to change it then restart your router and modem for 10 minutes.

I don't want the points- but I found if I just unplug my cable modem for a while and then plug it back in it drafts a new IP.
I shall like to elaborate further on this- less anyone think I do this with intent- I discovered this inadvertently- while moving the modem about while my bedroom was being repainted. Furthermore- you can't hide this way because your ISP keeps a log of what IP you are using at any given time- so if the cops really wanted to trace it out- they can.

Power cycle your modem and/or call your company and ask them to release your DHCP lease on their WAN.
Or try Tor.

You can use an anonymizer such as http://hidemyass.com or you can restart your modem - but that doesn't always work, counting you don't have a static IP.

lol she obviously got you scared if you are asking people to help you change your IP. Don't bullshit yourself, you know it's true.
If you also want to change your IP, then try calling your ISP and they will give more advanced details.
