iTunes glitch

So I put some money on my iTunes account in order to rent a movie. I go to rent one on my iPod and it says an error accured please tap to retry. I did that and nothing. I tried a different movie and The exact same thing! so I've been scammed $4 already because of a download glitch and I have have 2 downloads waiting but they can't move because they are glitched and stuck. What do I do?
