I've heard you can make $50 a week doing it, and you can donate twice a week. It's hard to find blood banks that actually pay though.

I think I've heard similar for plasma. Pays more than donating blood, that's for sure. I've also heard it can be more painful/uncomfortable, but that's not based on personal experience. I'd recommend calling or contacting your local Red Cross to find out how to donate and what the benefits to you are.
