My boyfriend said he needed a liver transplant at age 16. He is now almost 30. He has a large scar running across his belly. Why would a 16 year old boy need a liver transplant? Reasons, causes?

why do kids get cancer? why would a teenager need any kind of transplant? there are obviously numerous reasons

Too much alcohol, thats what can destroy a liver. I don't know why children get cancer. It's just a terrible word, I guess. :(

Ask him how should we know it could be several different things. Liver Cancer, Attempted suicide with Tylenol, alcoholism  just to name a few
