1) My old boss wants to have an urgent talk to me about my blog post (which can be found in my signature down there). In it I explain how things haven't been an easy ride for me since I came out.

Only thing is, my old boss's job is as a Christian youth worker... Americans, read "youth pastor". My job was being an intern for him.

So his "urgent talk" is probably likely to be a "Gays are condemned to hell-fire and brimstone" methinks. Have a look at my blog and reply here with what you think.

2) I've been offered the chance of applying for another job in Christian youth work with another local Church in town. I've no idea as to the exact details yet because I haven't asked for them. I don't know whether I should go for it (it would mean turning down a favour from a friend if I didn't at least enquire).

I'm still on a 50/50 should I/shouldn't I apply to Uni this year decision, and I don't even know if youth work is for me. But I'd be turning down a good offer if I decide not to go to Uni...

Can you offer me any advice in your infinite wisdom, LW?

Go for (2). And your old boss has no right to shovel his religious views onto you.

I would be inclined though, to check out your (next) employment contract. Check out what your prospective employer's view is on gays.
