I hate when friends are mean like that. She just doens't understand how much you are struggling and she's obviously not close enough to you to realise there is something wrong with the way you are feeling about yourself so for her to publicly announce such an insecurity was wrong. You just have to tell her that calmly and if she doesn't get it after your confrontation then she doesn't sound like a friend I'd want.
