for one, its OUR computer, and for 2 he said i can know which sites he visits if I can find them. I know of one site, cause we have an account on the fourm there. he says he feels ashamed, and his ex and I are trying to find it. FYI he is right behind me sitting on the couch

Alright. You better not be lying. First get this program:
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Misc__Utilities/Index_dat_Analyzer.html It will let you view Index.dat files. Then just perform a search on you computer for Index.dat and see what comes up. Make sure to check search hidden folders/system files/subfolders blah blah blah. If that doesn't turn up anything interesting then you can try using Netanalysis. http://www.digital-detective.co.uk/downloads.asp It will try to rebuild deleted and messed up Index.dat files. It can sometimes bring a lot back though so you might end up doing a lot of digging. Good luck I guess.

You might also try system restore. It could possibly work but you'd have to hit a time between when he viewed it and before he deleted it.
