So, the netbook concept interested me. That's all I do, is get on the internet. Maybe the occasional graphic intense web game like Keyquest on neopets.

Anyways... These are my the PC specs of the laptop I'm on right now. Does the netbook surpass all of these? Or no?

I'd just like a new laptop from this decade and better equipped for Windows than this one. A netbook is cheap, and works exactly what I need it for.

700MHz? You for realz? My iPhone has a faster processor.

And yeah, most likely a netbook will be faster than that, they usually have more RAM and Intel's Atom CPU is faster than an old PIII by far.

Actually serious. I deal with slow wake from sleep modes and computer crashes all the time.

I was just looking at netbooks while waiting for someone yesterday. From what I saw, Most of them had around 1GB of RAM. Their processing speed was also higher. The most common speed I saw was between 1.33 GHz and 1.66 GHz. So, it will be a step up from your current laptop.

It will be a step up from what you have.  I have played Quake 3 on mine (Acer Aspire One, 9", 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, 1.6ghz atom) , more intense than almost any webgame out there.
