I can't believe I actually cried when my parents left after dropping me off...it wasn't too much but there were enough tears to make it suck... am I alone or did anyone else cry?

No, I definitely did. My parents and best friend came up, and it was like a scene from movie, with her looking out the window as my parents drove away. But I was fine after that. I think it's just the shock of actually being alone at first.
