I have the hardest time discussing anything with my significant other...anything either of us finds important usually ends up in a big argument, most of the time because one or the other of us misunderstands the other. We have been together 8 years...and still we can't seem to discuss anything important or emotional with each other because we can't seem to communicate the actual issue without finding ourselves in an argument or not speaking to each other....I don't know if this makes any sense...I just feel empty after things like this happens...like the more we try the harder is gets and the worse we end up feeling...BLEH...

women are crazy, end of story

I am one so this is the truth.

In all seriousness though, maybe you and her just aren't 'right' for each other. Don't take my word for it though; I'm just speaking based on my own experiences. If communication is lacking in the relationship, and you feel EMPTY more often than you feel satisfied, it is probably not a good idea to stay with them, because there is someone out there who is a better match for you and won't make you feel this way so often.

If it's just an occasional thing though...let it go...she's probably PMSing or something.

"Seek first to understand, then to be understood."

I recommend you buy a copy of the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective people by Stephen R. Covey.  It teaches empathetic listening, and various other skills as far as understanding people on a deeper level in all aspects of life.

yeah i agree with some things .Women can be crazy sometimes. But men aint better.
I think theres no reason to stay togather if u have nothing in common anymore.Cuz u will just waste ur time for the  wrong person instead to spend it on searchin for someone who will undersand and appreciate u.

If it's so hard to communicate, maybe you should talk to someone else or try a different approach at conversations.  Don't change who you are though, that wouldn't be right.  If it's not going well, a time line doesn't really matter.  Think about what you truly want.  Ask yourself if the fights are worth it.

It is normal for anyone to react if they doesn't like what they heard or known from somebody. People should confide with the person if he/she done wrong, communication is a great solution to this. And we have to carefully tell that person the intention you have so he/she won't suspect you with anything you're going to do.

Exactly, the topic discussion is, therefore, over  (:
