For those who care, primarily those who are not part of the great uneducated about Mac, it's true. The Mighty Mouse has no buttons on the main part, instead it has two motion sensors on either side of the scroll wheel which function as click and right-click. So unless you program the right sensor to be like a normal click(which you can) the old tradition of Ctrl + Click is gone.

End of a legacy or much needed upgrade? Discuss.

I used a mouse like that when in college on their Mac computers.  I didn't really like it so I am happy that it's being changed.

Haha, me too.

The subject: "Introducing the mouse that roars" really caught my attention, though I just thought it was another new feature for Tiger at first.

Yea this has been in development for some time.  I remember boston dave talking about it before he left.  However I'mvery content with my logitech mouse and don't see the need to get one of those mice until i get a new mac.

The mouse its alright i don't see the purpose to buy it tho when you could just press the control button to do the same work as you would do with a 2 button click mouse...buts a nice invention for once.

Hmm, I like the idea of the scroll ball, and it seems more like a 4 button mouse, it has side buttons, but I prefer my microsoft mouse.

It's way overdue, but Apple is genius.  Look at the pure thought that went into that thing.  Mighty Mouse comes out of the box set up like the normal one-button mouse (both left and right clicks register as primary clicks--it's still under the same one "shell" design).  So they can start packaging it with all their Macs and the little old grandmothers that would be so confused with two buttons don't even know anything has changed.

But for the "power user," all it needs is a little tweak and you've got your efficient clicking.

I love it.  My parents are getting an iMac soon but I'm hesitating until they start packaging the Mighty Mouse with all computers (maybe just until the stock of the regular Pro mice run out).

I love mine.  I've had it for about a week now.  It's flawless in design.  I programmed the scroll button for Itunes, and the side buttons control Exposé.

Actually, the top is a two-sided motion sensor, so technically, it's still a two button mouse.
