Never expect anything of anyone, of anything, of life - not good things, not bad things, not anything. Come to every experience open to whatever it gives you without any preconceived notions of what it might, will or should give you.
But of course that is much easier said than done. Today is a new day though. Maybe I have learned my lesson by now (of course perhaps it would be wise not to expect as much )
