for your heart to start freaking out in your sleep? when i laid down last night, my heart was beating super wild, and then all the sudden i couldn't hear anything and was terrified it stopped beating. i'm terrified i have an enlarged heart, or that my arteries are clogged or something.

is it possible for osmeone my age's arteries to be clogged, ??

Woah, scary. You could have a heart problem, would be best to see your doctor.. Although it could have been that you were bordering an anxiety attack or something ?

my mom keeps telling me she won't take me because i don't need to go. and anyway, i think the doc would just gloss over it and say i'm fine just like her.

imagine a hamburger sticking in an artery.. you are young and the chance of you having a heart problem out of nowhere is really slim

I think it's called a heart palpitation, which is normal for everyone to experience occasionally. But because I'm no doctor, and I doubt very much that anyone on this site is, I wouldn't take my word for it. However, I have on several occasions experienced something similar to what you described. I was worried, so I asked my dad (a physician) about them, and he told me not to worry, that they were completely normal.
Again, I am not a doctor.
One more thing; it is normal to experience a palpitation OCCASIONALLY. If you begin having them frequently, it could indicate a problem, and you should definitely check with a doctor.
