i've been playing for (on and off) about 2 years now. i've mastered all the basic chords and the pentomic major and minor scale. i have a few questions:

1) What is the overall best way to learn the guitar? by yourself or with others?
i have a hard time learning everything unless its explained like 10 times, so i've had to rely on a For Dummies book.

2)Who/ what band should i try and learn the songs/licks for?
that would give me a better feel for the guitar while maybe teaching me about other scales or using double stops and power chords with notes.

3)Are there any excersizes that help with playing?
thanks.

I've learned that learning with others is a LOT better and usually more fun than learning on your own.

Oh! Thank you! :)
Still in the developmental stages at the moment, we're working on some new stuff that is utterly crushing, it's likely that the tracks posted are gonna be very different on the demo album we'll be recording sooner or later.

Anyway, yeah, let's see, pick up guitar pro, that might help you with learning songs...and composing.
