It was my understanding that everyone will spend time in Hell, but only those who rejected Allah outright (Non-Christians, Non-Jews, and Non-Muslims) will stay there forever. In that case, Christians and Jews, for practicing imperfect but mostly true religion, would not only spend time there with the Muslims, but even more time than the Muslims.
So Muslim hell is a bit like Purgatory to begin with.

Yes, all Muslims are tortured in the grave and spend time in hell. The only exception are martyrs. I'm still curious were he heard that Jews and Christians will spend a temporary amount of time in hell though.
