It isn't up to the United States Government to punish people for not breaking the law. Getting pregnant is completely legal, and if if you change your mind, it's your body and you can do what you want with it.

Abortion IS dealing with the consequences of their actions.
How is having an abortion dealing with the consequences? It's avoiding the consequences!!
Not dealing with it would be sitting there and doing nothing, pretending the problem isn't there to begin with. Abortion is doing something about it, and therefore, is a way to deal with it. Just because a woman who chooses to have an abortion is dealing with it in a way that you don't agree with does NOT mean that she isn't "dealing with the consequences of their actions".

No. You're missing the point. Why is it that people don't want the baby? Why do people feel that they're not responsible anymore? I understand how a baby can be an inconvenience but that's a risk you take when you have sex. Why should you get the fun without paying for it?
