The Large Hadron Collider is being set off on Wednesday as most of you know. It is an experiment to try and create Dark matter by recreating the big bang deep under ground. Again, we probably know this.

Apparently its going to cause a big giant black hole that will kill us all (oh, no!!) again, we all know.

If that is true. Then Switzerland, the peaceful country, the one with no army has evidently got the best weapon in the World... well, Universe.

They aren't looking to create dark matter at all, they are after the Higgs Boson. (A.K.A God particle)

And Dark Matter. It was present in the big bang too.

-No, I doubt the LHC will do anything at all, I just scoff at the people who are listening to the hype.

It's not happening on wednesday anyways.

Thats just the date of their first attempt at slinging a particle beam around the LHC.

The actual beggining of collision tests is on October 10th.

So when you guys survive wednesday and think it's over, think again

Seeing as its a tiny particle that will be there about 0.000005 of a second I don't think they will find it. Scientists can't even find a clitoris, let alone a tiny particle.

It lasts only 1 millionth of a billionth of a billionth of a second, but it doesn't just disappear.  It decomposes into other particles, and evidence of the Higgs particle will be seen in the spiraling pattern of the particles it decomposed into.

And isn't over 75% of the universe dark matter?

Possibly but it will be present.

Estimated to be 22% Dark Matter, 74% Dark Energy and 4% Visible Matter.
