Iguana I was a christian for years. I read all the books. I was a good kid went to sunday school. I even did a thing called bible quizzing. I fought the point of religion and called anything else a lie. The truth about it is Christianity is one of the biggest lies around. I consider it to be a way of dealing with death and how unimportant we really are to the earth. The thought of dying and being nothing and no longer being is a hard thing for most to understand. Some want to think that their life will continue and they will go to a place much better then earth. If you really believe in religion then you could say that we already in hell and we are all done for. I mean how can you tell truth from lies when every religion has some truth to it. Christians change the rules all the time. Oh its ok to do this because God only ment it for in the past and then next thing I know they are saying that God planned ahead and that his book relays to today. Look at the law of today. Is it not made for the protection of each of us? So is that to say that it's right and nothing else is. The whole thing is yeah the bible can be a great way to live by and maybe it gives you reason to wake up in the morning but for others it isn't. So for you to call someone elses beliefs wrong, and stupid only shows your own stupidity. If anything your taught to accept people as they are. I mean I remember being told to "recruit" people but the only people you really recruit are those who were already in a church. Yeah you get a couple to believe but what happens when a family is in real trouble? Rarely does anyone help them. I've seen people turn their backs on those in their church. So to discredit any other person's belief only shows that you yourself don't follow what christianity is supposed to be. Your supposed to accept each and every person instead of saying they are going to hell.

what i mean is that it's a realy complex book, so many things written in there... i coud read a harry potter book and give you a pretty good summary, but i can't just summarize everything in the bible. why woud so many ppl spend their time in something if it wasn't true?
