How old are you? Does your mother know you're on this site? Does she know where you are and what you're doing all the time? Does she control you to the point that you've never done something she wouldn't approve of?
didn't they say clinton was washed goods because she couldn't "control" her hubby? seems to me its easier to control a 17 year old than a hubby.

And even funnier when they say how bad she is with nothing to back it up.
I guess you approve of this then
In October 1996, she asked the Wasilla police chief, librarian, public works director, and finance director to resign, and instituted a policy [b\requiring department heads to get her approval before talking to reporters.
making sure no one can talk about her behind her back eh?
In January 1997, Palin notified the police chief, Irl Stambaugh, and the town librarian, Mary Ellen Emmons, that they were being fired. Palin said in a letter that she wanted a change because she believed the two did not fully support her administration.
Yeah lets fire anyone who dares criticize. Thats how we keep a tight dictatorship.
According to Anne Kilkenny, a Democrat who observed the City Council, Palin also brought up the idea of banning some books at one meeting, but did not follow through with the idea
oh yeah lets burn books we dont like. thats always the best thing to do in a democracy. and finally http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_Public_Safety_Commissioner_dismissal http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h7VIY5GfDmjy-A5HsGLuHvA0SHtgD92TUDS80 Troopergate yeah!

none of that means anything. it is totally irrelevant towards how palin would perform as a vice president. it's even less relevant than the totally pointless fact that obama's dad was a muslim. the fact that palin made decisions that could have had underlying motivations doesn't prove anything. everyone makes decisions that in the wrong light could appear to be suspect. instead of scratching at the ground trying to come up with anything you can to smear palin just because her political position is opposite yours, why don't you try doing some research into all four candidates so you can make an informed decision, instead of just trying to feed your bias.

Do you have a source for this? All I can find is blogs and wikipedia.

Think about it this way. Is the president going to fill his cabinet with people that oppose him? Absolutely not. He wants people that share similar ideas otherwise it would just result in fighting. Same goes here.
According to Anne Kilkenny, a Democrat who observed the City Council, Palin also brought up the idea of banning some books at one meeting, but did not follow through with the idea

No books were banned and there is no reason to believe that she had any intentions to do so. It was a question brought up in conversation.
and finally http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_Public_Safety_Commissioner_dismissal
Did you read that? You honestly think that his actions don't bar dismissal? Drunk Driving in itself should have been the end of his job.
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h7VIY5GfDmjy-A5HsGLuHvA0SHtgD92TUDS80 Troopergate yeah!
"Then there's trooper Mike Wooten, who used a Taser on his stepson, Palin's nephew Payton. Wooten has been reprimanded for violating nearly a dozen laws and departmental policies since December 2001." Yeah, he sounds like a great guy. Really what I would look for in a state trooper.

Find a better source.
You prefer this?
. Palin ended up dismissing almost all the city department heads who had been loyal to Stein, including a few who had been instrumental in getting her into politics to begin with. Some saw it as a betrayal. Stambaugh, the police chief and a member of Palin's step-aerobics class, filed a lawsuit for wrongful termination, alleging that Palin terminated him in part at the behest of the National Rifle Association, because he had opposed a concealed-gun law that the NRA supported. He eventually lost the suit. The animosity spawned some talk of a recall attempt, but eventually Palin's opponents in the city council opted for a more conciliatory route.
Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor.
http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1837918,00.html Oh wait its the Time mags another pawn of the liberal jewish media... Ok hre's a differnt one then: The Conservative Case Against Sarah Palin
One of Barack Obama's worst economic policies, from both my perspective and that of most conservatives, is his plan to place a "windfall profit tax" on domestic oil companies, and then use that money to provide a $1,000 "energy rebate" to American families. This plan has, rightly, been mostly derided by economists and by most Republicans on the national stage. However, as governor, Sarah Palin pushed through a plan that looked awfully similar. Over the opposition of oil companies, Republican Gov. Sarah Palin and Alaska's Legislature last year approved a major increase in taxes on the oil industry — a step that has generated stunning new wealth for the state as oil prices soared.
When Palin was the mayor of Wasilla, she was primarily a tax cutter-something she could afford to be because the town grew by leaps and bounds under her tenure. However, this self-described "hockey mom" did try to raise sales taxes in order to fund one of her pet projects: a new hockey complex for children in the area. Sure, that's not an uncommon thing for a politician to do, but it is something problematic for a "conservative reformer" to do, isn't it?
Palin: I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq. I heard on the news about the new deployments, and while I support our president, Condoleezza Rice and the administration, I want to know that we have an exit plan in place; I want assurances that we are doing all we can to keep our troops safe. Given the importance of foreign policy, this just doesn't seem like the right choice for a commander-in-chief in waiting, does it?
When Sarah Palin accepted the vice-presidential nomination, she gave an acceptance speech that told America a little bit about herself. That speech included this tidbit: And I've championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. In fact, I told Congress thanks, but no thanks, on that "bridge to nowhere." If our state wanted a bridge, I said, we'd build it ourselves. That sounds great, right? But here's the problem-Sarah Palin was, in fact, all for federal funds to build the build the bridge. Indeed, in 2006, Palin actually campaigned for it.
http://www.hereticalideas.com/2008/09/the-conservative-case-against-sarah-palin/ And yeah thats a conservative talking not some bleeding heart liberal... I bet though you'll find something wrong with those sources too

none of that means anything. it is totally irrelevant towards how palin would perform as a vice president.
thats an example of her "executive" experience like some ppl say.
the fact that palin made decisions that could have had underlying motivations doesn't prove anything.
people mention the fact that she has more executive experience than obama. so what else we supposed to look at?
anything you can to smear palin
uh I just picked that info from wiki. you not gonna say it was written by dems are you? I mean all that stuff is pretty common public stuff that ppl alaska know about.
i'm not saying that you shouldn't look at those things, my point is simply that all of those example have one fatal flaw: they all come with a "maybe". "maybe" she had some other motive for her action, "maybe" that trooper didn't deserve to be fired, "maybe" she fired someone because they didn't like her. take any politician you want, and you can come up with tons of example just like that, where they made decisions that you could question, and ask if "maybe" they were made for the wrong reasons. please come up with something more concrete, if you are going to write her off this fast.
