Slightly less than 3 months ago I asked you to view my website

http://www.mcatquestionaday.com

and critique it.  http://www.golivewire.com/forums/peer-itsyoa-support-a.html

Anyway those comments that were substantial were duly noted and the programming has been totally redone, as well as some visual and navigation-efficiency improvements.

What is your take now?

The menu to the left is far too large, and Times New Roman is a very unprofessional/crappy looking font. Try something that looks simpler and cleaner, like verdana or calibri.

I'll see what I can do about the left hand menu... though it would literally take hours to restructure the images on the top so it flows.

anyway, I understand why you would call Times a crappy font, but unprofessional?  as far as I can tell, it's the official font of business, government, and education... I would hardly call that unprofessional...

left hand menu should be exactly that large. It makes chemistry less frightening.

Times is professional and overused, the last thing students want to see is it.

For newspapers it is acceptable and proper looking, on websites it is amateur and ugly.

Duly noted. I'll discuss the issue with my partner.

Sans-serif is standard in a web based environment. Verdana is the most commonly used font, along with helvetica and arial.

I don't like it. the design looks a bit boring, The source code has got tons of crap in it. Why you have used JavaScript for the image rollover is beyond me. It's a lot of messy code for something which can be achieved by using minimal CSS.

The font is ugly, I would suggest using Arial or another nice font.

and secondly the design looks worse when displayed in high resolution. It's aligned to the left of my page, leaving a the center and right side of the website blank and empty.

Yeah, I think the left hand red navigation is really big and try using Verdana in place of the Times New Roman. Try adding some more zest to it too, it looks kind of blank. But it's a good start =)
