This would be due to your unfamiliarity with science. Science is simply a way of making predictions based upon the assumption that our universe acts upon static principals. Science isn't supposed to take us into a golden age of wondrous miracles, it's supposed to help us understand the world. With a better understanding of things we can move towards other goals.
