It's the only reason I'm still up. To begin my aunt had strep and her throat closed in the middle of the night while she was sleeping, and they had to rush her to the ER and her throat was gushing blood, almost died.
Ever since then I'm deathly afraid of falling asleep whenever my throat hurts because I don't want it to close when I'm sleeping and I'm the only person in this floor in this house so I wouldn't be able to run upstairs and get to an ER in time.

well your aunt is the first tim i have everr heard of that happening, so i dont think its very common.
if you have any throat medicine you should take it, and hot tea always makes my throat feel better :]
