I propose a new LiveWire policy: Moderators are allowed to make topics which do not go against Livewire policies.
How about this: Moderators shall endeavor to create a positive community.
Perhaps a community with rules that are clear and explicit enough that little shithead members with an axe to grind won't be able to stretch loopholes wide enough to slip in questionable images?
Perhaps a community where the guidelines are generally enforced equally across the forums and reasonably consistent within the mod 'team' as a whole?
Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, bitch and *all* nudity in art shall be banned. Thine blessed consistency has been blissfully found. Post edited at 10:10 am on Sep. 7, 2008 by TheOtherHorseman

Common sense would tell me, however, that if we don't allow underwear covering penises to be accepted, then we also wouldn't allow hands covering penises to be accepted.
why the fuck are you introducing "common sense?" why couldn't your "common sense" tell you that if you don't allow nudity in non-art, you also wouldn't allow nudity in graphic art? oh wait, that's because "common sense" isn't actually common, thus it doesn't work, thus we have........~~GUIDELINES~~ *widens eyes and wiggles fingers* in order to find out whether anything that is considered "common sense" by one mod is considered "common sense" by most mods, you'd have to take a vote on it. WHICH WOULD BE THE SAME AS TAKING A VOTE ON MAKING A POLICY, which would make it actually clear.

Are you somehow under the impression that I care if nudity is or isn't allowed? Art or otherwise?

But we all know the real purpose of those posts.
Use of the royal "we" is presumptuous, Angel.
How observant of you to notice. However I included the 'all' just for the purpose of removing that quality from the 'we'. So, -1.
Lies are also unbecoming.
What lies would those be?
Trying to pass off an extension of your own assumptions to "us all" as fact.

As someone who wants consistency, one would imagine that you would applaud a removal of the disconnect between allowing a bare-breasted fairy on a tree and disallowing a girl in a bikini in her room. It would be awfully inconsistent with your desire for consistency if you did not.
If an image goes against or fits within the guidelines, as written, and all moderators have pretty much the same attitude about it, why would I have any problem with consistent moderation? But, believe it or not, the image guidelines are not a serious concern of mine. It's the guidelines that are generally ignored completely, by most mods, that got me into the 'moderator consistency' discussion in the first place.
