Dear Audrey, look through Pro's replies here and see if you can find him mentioning anything at all about any policy on nudity. His comparing underwear to hands is the silliness I was commenting on. Your inability to read tells me that maybe I should have 'dumbed down' my responses so that you would be able to understand them.

"Desperate to prove Pro wrong"? No, a person doesn't have to be desperate, only observant.

Lol, seriously? Not allowing pics of nude people is one of the most basic guidelines we have here.

A mod doesn't have to tell you something isn't allowed. Maybe you should try using those reading skills you're so proud of and check out our image guidelines.

I guess I really overestimated your ability to understand. I probably know and understand the "written" guidelines as well as you do. Even the ones that are mostly ignored. What I don't know is how mods are going to interpret/ignore those guidelines based on the extreme latitude that David has apparently allowed the mods to have, and what "unwritten" guidelines are going to be enforced.

"Guy obscuring cock with hand" is really a big stretch from disallowing photographs where dicks are obscured by Hanes® Cotton Briefs and represents a disgusting degree of latitude.

Apparently FOLLOWING a policy is now going "rogue."
What policy were you following that is set up for a few mods to "step outside the box" to show the other mods how wrong they are?

Rogue: Operating outside normal or desirable controls.

That one that apparently allowed for nudity in art at the time.

The guideline that allowed nudity in art....

So we uploaded art that was allowed and used it.

So the idea that the mods operate as a "team" is a charade? Two or three conspiratorial mods are not in any way going against that concept?

To the point of going against your previously voiced opinion that 13 year old kids should be protected from those same images? "Primum non nocere"

We don't all hold hands and sing Jesus Loves the Little Children, FA.  We argue.  We bicker.  We bitch.

When we did all of that, and no one could see our point, we followed THE CURRENT policy, and had nudity as our avatars.

How is following a POLICY going "rogue"?

I understand that, the arguing and bitching. But when three mods can't get 30 mods to see their point, maybe the 3 mods should consider the opposing viewpoint a little more. You still haven't shown me the policy that says "mods should abandon the conversation if they don't get their way and start making questionable topics."

As much as you guys jealously guard your 'private' conversations and push that "mod team" concept, isn't "taking it public" being a little hypocritical?

I've never said that any of those topics or images were outside the guidelines, only that the act of making those topics wasn't following any LiveWire policy.

I propose a new LiveWire policy:

Moderators are allowed to make topics which do not go against Livewire policies.

We used an existing policy

We just stepped outside of the box

and showed the other mods the consequences of the policy

We didn't break guidelines

If we don't allow underwear, why would we allow something that covers less than underwear.

because allowing things that cover less than underwear is a "consequence" of "stepping outside of the box" for an "existing policy," and it doesn't "break guidelines."

....unless there really is a guideline in the current policy that says "anything that covers less than underwear" is not allowed

- How is following a current policy not considering the opposing viewpoint?
I can't believe you asked that. How is a conspiracy to make topics/posts that are primarily about nudity and displaying avatars that are very graphic, called considering the opposing viewpoint?

- Where did a single one of us make a questionable topic?
What was the purpose of those topics. Certainly not for any contribution to the forum. They were made strictly "to show the others how wrong they were." That's what makes them 'questionable'.

- How did we take anything public? The policy was set.  We followed it.  How is that hypocritical?
Another silly question. Three mods simultaneously making posts with excessive nudity, with avatars like those, and no one is supposed to recognize what the purpose is? How is that NOT taking it public?

I propose a new LiveWire policy:

Moderators are allowed to make topics which do not go against Livewire policies.

How about this: Moderators shall endeavor to create a positive community.
