I'm against moderating a word (rather it be retard, faggot, or nigger) just because it's 'hateful'.  The reason being if you want us to moderate one word that singles out a group of people, then we'd have to even fair and moderate EVERY negative word that singles out a group of people.

I don't care for that much.

Oh quit whining. Society refuses to accept the fact that language is always changing and so are the meanings of words. Retard and gay can mean more than one thing and just because it means something dumb or stupid does not necessarily mean the people who are gay or actually mentally challenged are dumb too. People need to really understand this concept because quite frankly it doesn't matter. A word is a word. Nigger is now used by blacks to associate their friends, yet it's still unacceptable for anyone else to say nigga or nigger because it offends them. If it offended them so much, perhaps their own race shouldn't have started using it to associate their friends or anything of that sort. Language is just ever changing, remember that children.
