I don't really know if I should post in this forum but I want to see what the intellects would say about this.

I always wonder is it that hard to make a movie based on a game or vice-versa. So far, most of the movie games are horrible. Never in my life have I seen a good movie based on video game. This it that tough to make those two come together?

i didn't think silent hill was too bad as a movie and nor was (at least) the first resident evil

anyway, expanding on that thought, book to movie adaptations usually are not great either

The movies based on games are horrible because Uwe Boll has directed every single one of them.

Games based on movies are almost always bad because companies make them to cash in on the market.  The few good ones took time to make.

Most adaptations are horrible, be it book to movie or video game to movie. Nothing beats the original.

I believe that a movie is only good as its director, so that is why this video game adaptions are bad. They don't have good directors.
