Im 35 weeks pregnant. And my mom said she noticed that the baby is dropping. Is there like an estimate of how much time i've got left before i go into labor.

Im already getting minor tightening and loosening of my belly.

Has the dilation started yet?

I have an appointment with my OB next week. But as far as the last appointment, no.

This site has some good info.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/signs-of-labor/PR00083

Here's what would specifically interest you.

Lightening: Adjusting the pressure

One of the first signs of labor may be a sensation that the baby is settling deeper into your pelvis. This is known as lightening.

The baby's new position may give your lungs more room to expand, making it easier to breathe. On the flip side, you may experience pelvic discomfort, and increased pressure on your bladder may send you to the bathroom more often.

For a first pregnancy, lightening may occur weeks or days before labor begins. For subsequent pregnancies, it may not happen ahead of time. For some women, the changes are obvious. Others may not notice a thing.

No, it's not. Jay started dropping at 34 weeks and I started dilating AND loosing my mucous plug around the same time... I still didn't go into labor until 39 weeks.

Well i went to the ER last night. Because the pain got worse. Turns out, My OBGYN never told me i had a really bad bladder infection. Which was causing the pain and stomach spasms.
