I'm not sure what to say to him really. I don't even know him very well. I've just been talking to him for the past couple of months and we hung out once. I knew from the start that he had depression, but now it's severe. He messaged me on myspace a few minutes ago saying that he "can't take it anymore" and that he has to do it. I told him that people care about him and that he would break so many hearts if he killed himself. I also told him that he's too young to stop trying, and that things will get better in the future. He refuses to believe me though and I'm getting worried. What am I supposed to say?

If he thinks ending his life will solve anything it wont. Tell him it'd be selfish because many others care for you and think its just highschool. He can get a new life after that. he can get out of the house, being whoever he wants to be. Hanging and being loved with whoever he wants to hang out with. Theres always a brighter side of life. Dont let bad things get in his way.

Well it sounds like he REALLY needs someone for him right now. What really sticks out to me is the fact that he has kind of, attached himself to you. I mean, he messaged you and told you that he couldn't take it anymore. You know what that is? It's a cry for help. He wants help, he is practically screaming for it.

If at all possible, go see him. Try to hang with him.

You can either get his mind off of the problems, or yall can talk about them. Whichever route you choose, they will both lead to success.

Like i said before, he just needs someone to be there for him, and to take an actual interest in his life.

Basically, be his FRIEND.
