Congratulations. Realizing that you cannot change other people around you is the first step to growing up. The world is going to go on as it always has, and people are going to live their own lives as they always have. There is nothing you can do to significantly change that. Sometimes thats a good thing. People do things for you and things go well and life is awesome. Sometimes it royally sucks. You are apparently in the middle of one of those times.
At this point there are two things you can do. You can lay down and give up because you can't control things around you. You can toss in the towl and quit trying and live your whole life with the attitude that the world is out to get you.
Or you can step up and realize that life is not fair, it's never going to be fair, and all you can do is work with the cards you've been dealt. Why try to change things that are out of your control? It's impossible to do, and exhausting to try. Focus on things that you can control. Focus on your own health and happiness. Focus on your schoolwork. Focus on being a good friend, sibling and son/daughter. Focus on being the best person you can be.
None of that is being fake. That's what living life is. You fight for yourself and hope that every once in a while some other people cooperate and work with you. Things aren't always going to fall in place, but that's okay. If they did, life would be pretty damn boring.
