I just discovered if you have an emergency, like a mental breakdown or an emotional problem suddenly, you can visit the school Guidance Counselor and just sit in their office and cry and miss class.


Now, normally I wouldn't think of doing this, but tomorrow I think I'm going to feign a mental breakdown so I won't have to sit in Spanish class for about 2 hours due to the insane schedules because of testing.


Hmm....what should I blame my breakdown on?

Your idea is cute and funny. But let me suggest one possibility...

What if while you are in there, a student with a legitimate mental issue or problem needs to seek assistance and can't because you're taking up the counselor's time instead?

Just a thought.

Not an insult. A legitimate thing to consider. And I didn't have the knowledge to possibly know how many counselors there were. Forgive me for considering possibilities. And, you know, others.
