So I had severe numbing/pains in my hand for about 2 years now, it has effected me during my sleep and my job, my hands would go numb and feel extremely painful until I loose grip in my hands. When I first checked it out with my doctor a while ago now he simply reckoned it was a trapped nerve which would simply work itself out.
I went today just to tell him that after nearly 2 years it hasn't gone away, in his opinion I have Bilateral Carpal tunnel syndrome which simply means my median nerve is compressed at the wrist in both hands, which can cause pain, paresthesias, and muscle weakness.
I'm getting referred to a hospital for further diagnosis and then possibly localized steroid injections or surgery.
Lovely.
