Thankfully, we have all color towels in our house, and we have a dark red towel and washcloths. I use those, they don't stain. Of course you clean them, but you don't have to worry about it staining. Brown is good too. And black. But that's it. My friend messed up her dark purple towel.
So yes, it does matter.
