Honestly, if you use Vista on a good, new set of hardware, and you get it all configured nice, its really, really good.

I like both,
Vista may take longer to start up etc.. use more RAM etc..
butt it looks a lot nicer and the minimising and moving of windows etc and opening programs is a lot smoother and nicer etc.
