So ive had these same eight friends for about 12 years now. And even though we all go to different colleges (even some out of state) we always meet up when its one of our birthdays or something special. They're really awesome friends and incredibly intelligent.

So Im wondering now, how many of you guys have friends like these? That you have known forever, and our willing to come all the way down from different states just to celebrate your birthday and what not. I feel incredibly lucky to have eight.

I've got 6 of them, and despite currently being so spread out they all came home this past weekend. I haven't known them for 12 years however, more like 6.

You ARE lucky. I've lived in Alberta for half my life, and New Brunswick half my life. Most of my good friends are in Alberta. But now im back in New Brunswick for good, and I'm the one left making all the plans to visit.

I had a friend i knew since i was 4(so about 16 years). he committed suicide.

Yes, I believe I 've been pretty lucky when it comes to making friends! Since my closest friends are gone, I've recently began hanging out with a guy I knew in high school...but he lives an hour away...so far this week he's come to town 4 times just to do simple things like watch a movie. I kind of feel bad about it though =/

Aw. im sorry to hear that dollface. Unfortunately i had one of those to, and i feel bad because i feel i should've been there more often then i was. But you have to learn to live with it and go on. I agree i love my friends to death and ill never ever give them up for anything
