No, drug users dont need to be shot and neither do the cops. The ones who made the laws should though
yeah but if a cop willingly enforces a law isnt that also guilty
No, its his job
its not just a 'job' if it involves affecting other peoples lives the only duty a cop has to society is to keep people safe....
So when are they planning on starting that?
2250?

I'm sorry, you're wrong. The only duty a cop has is to enforce the law. Keeping people safe... believe it or not, that's NOT his job. Supposedly it's a by-product of doing his job, but it really isn't part of the job description.
philosophically, the purpose of the 'police' was to protect the people. This was supposed to be in 'line' with 'enforcing the law' but obviously in practice this wasn't the case. But really, the only rational 'job' of a policeman can be to protect people. the law means shit i meant 'duty' as in actual duty, not the arbitrary bullshit their commanding officer directs them to do Post edited at 6:13 pm on Sep. 22, 2008 by prisoner of hss

Have you ever been a policeman? Do you have any close friends or relatives who are cops? What is your personal knowledge of the "duties of a policeman"?
it doesnt matter what my personal knowledge but the only rational 'duty' can be to protect people from coming to harm by anothers hand, protect property, etc. there are basic, objective human liberties, and with the 'law', they are frequently breached now, there are some grey areas but its pretty much absolute that no one should be stopped from doing drugs on their own time, and anyone who does so is violating their basic rights

yeah pretty much they're 'bad' but forcing people not to do it is fucking stupid i do see some cases where prostitution is forced and those should be stopped but where its completely voluntary, leave em alonnneeee

the right to toke up in private is wildly outweighed by the police officer's right to life.
