Yesterday at work, this guy came over to me and starting talking up a storm. Now, this guy was nice, but he kinda stutters and then repeats this sentence about 3 times. He worked next to me for 4 hours yesterday. And he drove me crazy. Everything he said, he expected a laugh or for me to ask him about it. It was annoying and I was frustrated, but I stayed happy and wasn't rude.

Then the manager comes over and gives me **** for doing something, even though the guy talking up a storm did it. I didn't say anything cause I didn't want to point fingers, and I also expected him to step up, and admit it was him. But he just stood there, quietly and allowed me to be told off for it. That really pissed me off.

I didn't say anything, and neither did he. Then, about 1/2 an hour later, another manager calls me over to a points an area done wrong...another area the guy did wrong. And again he didn't stand up, and he didn't do what the first manager said.

I'm new, and I'm pissed this guy did that to me. He allowed both managers to give me the same talk, when he did it.

I don't like pointing fingers, but do you think I should of stepped up and said it wasn't me. I am so mad at him. He gave me a bad first impression.

maybe he thought you were being NICE to take the blame for him... maybe you should have just been a bitch and said that he did it.

The managers need to know you're not doing the wrong thing, you can't let him sit back and allow you to get in trouble for his mistakes, shit like that can get you fired.

As a business owner, I'd be upset if you DIDN'T tell me that I was wrong about something; anything. I'd rather you keep something to yourself if you're not 100% sure, though. In this case, it's fact. It's not a matter of stepping up so much it as a matter of doing what is right.
