I feel compelled to analyze how I fit into some of the 'clicks' I'm somewhat a part of ...

I'm a senior this year... I don't have one set group of friends that I hang out with, which means I'm not popular but I'm not a loner either .  This situation, now that I think of it, completely sucks... I'm pretty much on the "fringe" of being popular.  The kids you hang out with accept you and everything, but you don't REALLY get to know them like you would want to.  It's worse than being either completely popular or on the other end of the spectrum as a loner...

There goes 4 years of my life down the drain ...

Cliques.

Stop caring about how popular you are. Kids that are popular for the sake of being popular are annoying.

Meaning noone likes them. I don't get why people say they're popular?

I'd rather be fringe.

Everyone says that they don't really fit into any of the cliques at their school, but chances are you do.  (Just how I'm feeling after looking back and high school.)

But I agree and disagree with you.  I think you have to realize and accept your place among your friends has its disadvantages, but don't go so far as to think you have it worse than loners.  Sure, some of them probably want it that way, but some of them would rather be where you are.
