Just think of them as a hairless cat that looks kinda like your sister, and it won't affect you so much.

Self aware is a huge factor.

It's easy to claim how cool and fun things are when you've never done it. But it's different when you've been there. And all I see is a cowardly little kid trying to be something more. Trying to be cold like the people I'm assuming hurt you in the past. School bullies, perhaps?
